Located in Naedo-dong, Jeju-si, Naedo Aljakji is the only shingle beach in Jejudo Island to be composed of gravel, which grants it unique scenic value and shows off the geological characteristics of the Oedo-dong region. The gravel scattered around the site were made through the energy from the high flow velocity of the flowing water, which proves that there was an even larger stream in the Oedo-dong region 500,000 years ago. The shingle beach is constantly changing forms due to the waves, allowing it to act as a barometer that shows changes in nature. Furthermore, the sound of the waves crashing into the shingle beach is beautiful, akin to a symphony played out on the ocean by an orchestra.
